These conditions apply to all reservations and contracts concluded between FastRentacar and the customer, regardless of the booking channel (online, phone, office). They cover all categories of vehicles available and services offered at our locations in Venice and Treviso. If there are differences between these terms and the booking confirmation, the latter prevails for specific details (such as time, place, category).
The main renter and any additional driver must be at least 23 years old and hold a valid category B driver’s license for at least 3 years. The original license and a valid ID (passport or national ID card) must be presented. EU/EEA licenses are accepted; non-EU licenses may require an international driving permit or an official translation. FastRentacar reserves the right to refuse rental if documents are expired, damaged, or not valid.
Our online booking takes less than a minute, and confirmation is sent automatically via email. No advance payment and no credit card are required to reserve the car. The renter must provide a valid flight number, phone number, and email address to ensure smooth coordination upon arrival and to handle any delays or schedule changes.
Full payment is made when collecting the vehicle, in euros, using major debit/credit cards or other methods indicated at the time of booking. The payment method must be in the name of the main driver. For more details, please check the FAQ section. Any additional amounts due (extensions, accessories, penalties) will also be paid at return.
A refundable security deposit ranging between €350 and €900 is required at pick-up, depending on vehicle category and insurance coverage. The deposit covers possible additional costs (uncovered damages, missing fuel, unpaid fines, late returns). The amount will be released in full at the end of the rental, through the same payment method, once the vehicle has been inspected and cleared.
You may cancel your reservation free of charge up to 4 hours before the scheduled pick-up time. Changes to time, date, location, or vehicle category are possible depending on availability and may involve a tariff adjustment. No fees apply to updates of contact or flight information. Cancellations under 4 hours or no-shows may result in loss of reservation.
Vehicles are collected and returned at the designated rent-a-car areas in airports. In Venice, official parking and access details are available at veneziaairport.it. In Treviso, cars are delivered in the airport’s official car rental zone. Pick-up or return outside normal hours is possible with prior notice. You can pick up the car from our parking areas at Venice Marco Polo Airport or Treviso Canova Airport.
The minimum rental period is 2 days. Daily, weekly, and monthly rates are available, always transparent and with no hidden fees. Prices may vary depending on season, demand, and category. Mileage limits, if any, are clearly specified in the booking confirmation. For longer rentals, progressive discounts or tailored packages may apply.
During the winter season, all vehicles are fitted with winter tires in compliance with local regulations. Upon request, snow chains, child seats (for various age groups), GPS, and other accessories may be provided. Accessories depend on availability and may incur extra charges.
Our policy is “full to full”: the vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when collected. Otherwise, the missing fuel will be charged at current rates plus possible service fees. For clarity, we recommend refueling close to the return location and keeping the fuel receipt.
The customer agrees to use the vehicle responsibly and in accordance with traffic laws. Off-road driving, racing, unauthorized towing, transporting dangerous goods, or illegal activities are prohibited. Only drivers listed in the contract are authorized to operate the vehicle. Keys and documents must be kept safe; loss of these items will result in replacement costs.
All vehicles include third-party liability insurance. Optional protection packages are available to reduce excess in case of damage or theft. Insurance does not cover intentional damage, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or gross negligence. In case of an incident, proper documentation and immediate notification to FastRentacar are required.
Leaving Italy is only permitted with prior authorization from FastRentacar and may require additional insurance coverage. Certain countries may be excluded. Customers must inform us in advance of their intended itinerary to confirm conditions. Failure to comply may void insurance and result in full liability.
If the reserved vehicle model is not available, FastRentacar will provide one of the same or higher category at no additional cost. We strive to inform customers of such cases in advance and offer alternatives as close as possible to their initial preferences.
Customers must inform us promptly of any delays. Failure to show up without notice may lead to cancellation of the reservation. If a flight is delayed and the flight number is included in the booking, FastRentacar will adjust delivery times as much as possible within operating limits. Late returns may incur extra charges proportional to the delay.
The customer is responsible for damages to the vehicle during the rental, unless covered by the selected insurance. Missing fuel, excessive dirt, smoking inside the car, loss of keys or documents, or damage to wheels and tires may result in extra fees. Traffic fines and tolls remain the renter’s responsibility, including administrative charges applied by authorities.
Customer data is processed in compliance with applicable law, used only for contract management and legal obligations (invoices, archiving). Data is protected with technical and organizational measures. Customers may request access, correction, or restriction by contacting FastRentacar. FastRentacar provides 24/7 assistance, including late-night arrivals. For quick answers about procedures, documents, insurance, or rates, check the FAQ section. For special cases (e.g., trips abroad), we may request additional details to provide proper guidance.
These contracts are governed by Italian law. Disputes will be resolved according to consumer protection regulations and may be addressed to the competent court of the consumer’s domicile. We recommend seeking amicable solutions first, to ensure quick and fair outcomes.
FastRentacar may update these Terms periodically to reflect legislative changes or service improvements. The current version is always available at Terms and Conditions. Continuing to use our services after updates means acceptance of the new conditions.
